How to Enter:   Piggly Wiggly’s Thirteen (13) week “Fall Football Frenzy” (“Sweepstakes”) begins Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 12:00:01 am EST and ends Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 11:59:59 pm EST.  The first week ends Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 11:59:59 pm EST.  Subsequent weekly “Sweepstakes” will follow each Wednesday and end one week later on Tuesday.  The last “Sweepstakes” will be held November 25 at 12:00:01 am EST and end one week later on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 11:59:59 pm. To Enter: Eligible participants may enter the Piggly Wiggly “Fall Football Frenzy” (the “Fall Football Frenzy Sweepstakes") by using your Pig card while shopping at Piggly Wiggly and/or visiting the Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company, Inc. website (www.thepig.net) (the "The Pig Website") and/or completing and submitting the online entry form limit one (1) online entry, per valid email address, per eligible person per day.

Eligibility:  Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company, Inc., is the “Main Sponsor” of this Sweepstakes.  The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina who are 18 years or older as of September 1, 2009. Employees and members of their immediate households, whether or not related, as well as employees’ immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings, children and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) are disqualified from entering the Sweepstakes. Additionally, employees of the Main Sponsor’s parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to win.

Prizes: Two (2) Weekly Prize Winners each week for 13 (Thirteen) Weeks per each of four (4) Piggly Wiggly Regions (Piggly Wiggly “Regions” are Savannah; Charleston; Upstate/Columbia; Florence/Myrtle Beach) shall win a $250 Gift Card Redeemable at any Piggly Wiggly.  Average Retail Value is $250.00. Main sponsors reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason.  The potential winners will be drawn weekly and notified by phone, email, or mail, on or about Thursday or Friday each week of the contest. The potential winner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Release of Liability and     Publicity (where permitted by law), and return same, fully-executed, within 5 (Five) of notification. If Main Sponsor is unable to contact the potential winner(s) within 5 (Five) days, the potential winner will be disqualified and alternate winner will be selected. Main Sponsor’s decision with respect to the Grand Prize Winner and other matters pertaining to the Sweepstakes shall be final and binding.   The odds of winning the weekly prize(s) depend upon the number of eligible entries received weekly.

All eligible entries received each week will be entered in the Weekly Prize Drawing. When entering at The Pig Website, one may be asked to consent to receive promotional e-mails and reminders for upcoming promotions and information about The Pig. Consenting to receive such  e-mails is optional and does not have to be agreed to in order to be eligible to enter the  Sweepstakes and does not improve one’s chances of winning. Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company, Inc., ("Main Sponsor"), and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents, and any and all Internet servers and access provider(s) (collectively, "Released Parties") are not responsible for: any incorrect or inaccurate entry information; human error; technical malfunctions; failures, omissions, interruptions, deletions, or defects of any telephone network, computer online systems, computer equipment, server providers, or software, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes; inability to access The Pig Website; theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries; entries that are processed late or incorrectly or are incomplete or lost due to computer or electronic malfunction or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; printing, typographical, or human or other errors; or any combination thereof. A purchase will not increase chance of winning. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, MAIN SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

GENERAL PRIZE CONDITIONS:  All costs, taxes, fees, and expenses associated with a prize are the sole responsibility of the respective winner. All federal, state, and local taxes on prizes are winner’s responsibility. The specifics of all aforementioned elements of any prizes in the Sweepstakes shall be solely determined by Main Sponsor. Some restrictions may apply. Prizes cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash except at Main Sponsor’s sole discretion. Main Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize, or portions thereof, with a prize of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:  Main Sponsor’s decisions with respect to the Weekly Prize Winner(s) and any other matters pertaining to the Sweepstakes shall be final. The Weekly Prize Winner(s) will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability and publicity (where permitted), and return same, properly executed, within 5 (Five) of issuance of prize notification. If Main Sponsor is unable to contact the potential Weekly Prize Winner(s) or if a potential Weekly Prize Winner(s) fails to complete and return all requested forms by the specified date or if a potential Weekly Prize Winner (s) fails to comply with any of the requirements, his/her prize will be forfeited and an alternate prize winner shall be selected. By entering into the Sweepstakes, all entrants consent to the use of their name, photograph (including photographs submitted by them to Main Sponsor), likeness, biography, voice and/or video for advertising and promotional purposes, including online announcements, worldwide and without limitation and without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received for the applicable drawing.

Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If, in the Main Sponsor’s opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if computer viruses, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical difficulties or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, the Main Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and void any entries submitted fraudulently, to modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, or to terminate the Sweepstakes and conduct a random drawing to award the prizes using all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the termination date. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted on The Pig Website. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Main Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the potential Weekly Grand Prize Winner(s) based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the  authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or their organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Such Authorized account holder will be required to comply with these Official Rules. 

DISRUPTION/CANCELLATION: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend or terminate the promotion should a virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the promotion. In such event, prizes will be awarded by random drawing from among eligible entries received up to the  date/time of corruption or modification, to the extent feasible.  Sponsor is not  responsible for late, lost, incomplete, or misdirected entries; computer system, equipment or program malfunctions, or other errors; failures or delays in computer transmissions

 or network connections; or for any other technical problems related to web site entries. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the promotion. If by reason of a printing, computer, production or other error, more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in these official rules, all persons making purportedly valid claims will be included in a random drawing to award the advertised number of prizes available in the prize category in question. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded.  In the event of a dispute, entries will be declared made by the  authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry.  “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e- mail address. 

LIABILITY AND RELEASE:  This Promotion is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of South Carolina, without respect to conflict of law doctrines.  As a condition of participating in this Promotion, participants agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in South Carolina having jurisdiction.  Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental or  consequential damages, including attorneys’ fees, and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

WINNER’S LIST:  Beginning on or about December 20, 2009, one may obtain the names of the Winner(s) by mailing a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Fall Football Frenzy Sweepstakes–Winners List, Post Office Box 118047, Charleston SC 29423.  Requests received after January 22,  2010 will not be honored.
